Sandneset is situated on the island of  ”Otrøya” in Midsund region, just off the coast of north western Norway. It`s close to the mainland, and the nearest town, Molde.

Sandneset is beautifully located near the ocean, with a harbour and nice places to swim just 10 meters away. The mountains surrounding the area, offers great hiking routes. You can go ocean fishing, or just enjoy a nice boat trip with boats available for rent. The island itself has lots of spectacular sights, and you`ll get around the island, nice and easy, on one of our rented bicycles. The outer (western) side of the island will provide the typical coastal scenery, while the inner (eastern) side is warmer and more fertile. Sandneset is a pretty and spacious caravan park, with plenty of room for your caravan or mobile home. We also have cabins with all facilities, and a utility building with showers and laundry machines. In the same building you also find the information desk and a kiosk.

The area, Midsund region, consist of 5 islands. They are all, except the small island of Tautra, connected by bridges. The varied landscape on these islands provides many different outdoor pursuits; from ocean and fishing to forests and mountains. The most dominating landscape element is the range of mountains. The highest one being ”Opstadhornet”, 740 meters above sea level. In our town center, 3 km from the caravan park, you`ll find a bank, post office, groceries, restaurant/cafe and petrol station/garage amongst other services.
